SONG BIRD - “Bucie” has dumped her record label, Demor Music, over a financial dispute. The singer, whose real name is Busisiwe Nqwiliso, has left her former boss, Demor Sikhosana, high and dry. Bucie is known for her hit song Get Over It released two years old. Demor is the third member of house music group Shana, together with DJ Black Coffee and Shota.

Apparently, reasons for the split revolve around money and marketing complaints. A source close to the pair says Bucie had a nasty argument with Demor. “Bucie was gatvol because Demor didn’t market her material well and used her as his cash cow. She felt Demor was taking her on a different musical path. She wanted to be known by fans in many countries,” said the source.

Sunday Sun contacted the Awudede hitmaker, about the allegations that he had been dumped by Bucie. He confirmed that Bucie has left his label. “I feel it’s fair for me not to run away from the truth. Yes, Bucie is no longer my artist and doesn’t want to sign a new contract,” Demor said. “At the moment we’re still finalising formalities of releasing her. It’s sad to see her leave my label but there isn’t any bad blood between us.” But Bucie would only say: “Ask your source for comments – he or she knows the story.”

Bio time: Thandi Draai

Thandi Draai, (Vocalist/Dj/Producer), a young, fragile and gifted vocalist, music genius at heart and a song writer by nature, a true definition of great talent. This hard working vocalist/ music producer has been in the industry for more than two years and is now amongst the great artists in the industry.

Unlike any other artist, Thandi does not limit her self to one kind of genre; she is always willing to try something new.

Hailed from the small town of Margate, Thandi Draai's passion for music began when she was just a little girl. Music was a great way to escape from reality and ever since that experience, Thandi Draai has never looked back. One of Thandi Draai's highlights was her performance at the international dance competition which was held in the South Coast of KZN back in 2003 where she dazzled the crowd with her magical voice, a truly overwhelming feeling for Thandi Draai, she then knew that music was her calling.

Thandi Draai matriculated in 2010 and moved to Johannesburg to pursue her career in music. Her first recording was done at Ma-Pee productions where one of the local DJs, DJ Bongz was working on a album. Thandi Draai was featured on a couple of songs that were featured on the album "Mystic Soul". She then continued to spread her wings even further, reaching the hearts and souls of music consumers.

She then met the family at Soulcandi Institute Of Music and also worked on a couple of projects with the Soulcandi crew members. Such include Kudoskelem and Juvinale Dee. She later met Soulcandi's very own house producers V. Underground and Cuebur. Thandi Draai also co-wrote a song with Micasa's very own J'Something on her song "Dreamer" which was one of Thandi's greatest international releases.

Life brings the most inspiration into Thandi’s wonderful music creations, from the positive to the negative aspects.

Thandi Draai has worked with a number of music producers and artists in her life. She has also collaborated with some of the world’s finest music producers and Labels.

These names include legends such as Charles Webster (Miso), Boddhi Satva (Offering Recordings), Arnaud Daleo, Nuttty Nys (Nys Music), DJ Mphoza (Soulcandi), Cuebur (Soulcandi, Cuebur Music), Culoe De Song (Soulistic), DJ Shimza (Soulistic), Da Capo (DNH, SurrealSounds), V.Underground (Ultra Tone Records), Lsg ( Hoodnatives), Benzy & Zakes (Touch Africa) Willy (Sculptured Music) & Mystic Soul (Shelter Music), just to mention a few.

Thandi Draai projects have also been remixed by world renowned djs and producers such as Atjazz, Cuebur, Andyboi, DJ Shimza, Charles Webster, Kodjo Akusa, Phumulani Coka, Max Martinez and Kimozaki.

Some of her greatest creations have been featured on the world’s bestselling online music stores. Her work has been featured in a lot of projects in both SA and abroad. These include titles like “Just Believe”, “Get Down”, “High Above” and “Lost For Words” just to mention a few.

Her recent projects such as ”Crazy Love” by Jus Nativ with Soulcandi Records is currently available in stores nation wide and was on the top charts sitting at no.3 on Traxsource in a span of 3 days. Also her song with Cuebur "Lost for words" reached an astonishing 1000+ downloads in a DAY!!

Soul Candi Presents Producer Series Vol. 1

Soul Candi prides itself in always uplifting and encouraging up and coming artists. Producers Series Vol.1 is a double disc album featuring two of the hottest newcomers in the industry. Introducing this flagship album, are the very talented PM Project and Jus Nativ who each have a disc included.

Jus Nativ, one of the best developing producers is the mastermind behind the first disc of the Producer Series album. Focused on music production, he loves Vocal House and this is obviously portrayed in his own productions. Jus nativ has 5 of his own tracks on the album including vocals from artists like Carryn Kramer and CJ Stone. His first single released “Crazy Love” featuring vocalist Thandi Draai is also featured on the album as a club remix. This single has been circulating the airwaves and was also included on DJ Claude’s disc on the compilation album “Soul Candi Sessions 2014” in 2013. Special tracks to look out for include “Colours of Love” from The Layabouts, a special vocal remix, and “Closure” from S.Chu.

The second disc on this must-have album comes from sensational duo, PM Project, who have ensured their full disc consists only of their own productions and remixes. Passionate about Soulful House with splashes of Afro House included, PM Project believe in keeping their production fresh and original. Some of tracks they’ve remixed for the album include “That Girl” from Calvin Fallo ft Tellaman and “The Waters in My Eyes” from Imaani Brown. Bio time: Infinite Boys

Dynamic Duo Brothers of Raphael Thulane Mabaso born in 1987 and Antony Sandile Mabaso born in 1988 from the Eastern side of Johannesburg, Ekurhuleni.After having deejayed for five years, they decided in 2005 to become music producers like their influences Louie Vega, Ralf Gum, Quentin Harris, Franck Roger, Oskido, Bruce, Black Coffee and of course with the help of ASE (Academic of Sound Engineering).

Infinite Boys as the stage name came after this magnificent brothers realized that their passion, love, ambition, reliability and the enthusiasm for music isn’t going to end. They live life through composing and writing music. Infinite Boys now has a huge and dedicated following, not just in their hometown of Ekurhuleni, but also across South Africa and abroad - their sounds reflect a rare versatility, with the mixture of dub, lounge and African elements.

Music is not a new passion for the Infinite Boys however: after studying the music production for three years, this dynamic duo brothers started writing and composing song at the tender age of 16 and 17. They used everything that made a sound around the house to write on before they even picked up the keyboards. Music, truth be told, was never far from their minds. They always knew it was a matter of time until they started to write and compose songs, because in every place they went, their first stop was always the music store/local pubs, where they discovered new types of music. All those different genres have influenced the songwriters and composers they are today.

2010 is already looking as though as it will raise Infinite Boys profile further still, with high profile tours around South Africa and abroad, as well as a packed schedule of remixes and of course with the first release of their album as they’ve signed with Kalawa Jazmee Records. The album will truly reflect Infinite Boys Sound, currently working with Zonke, Bucie, Oskido, Bobstar, Lil Soul, Bongo Maffin…just to name a few.

There’s still lot to be heard from this magnificent boys and they still have a long road ahead of them in the music industry. Passion, Respect, Honesty, Ambition, Reliability and the enthusiasm for music drives them to the edge. They make sure that people are anxious about their music and they will never stop doing what they are good at.
